MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ECON – QUANTITATIVE FINANCE CONCENTRATION?

Question by PB: Master of Science in Econ – Quantitative Finance concentration?
I already have a B.S. in Econ. I want to get more technical knowledge so I can be qualified for portfolio analyst positions and eventually portfolio management positions. Is this degree a good idea? General thoughts?

I would suggest you go for a Master in Quantitative Finance, or Master in statistics if you really want to work as a portfolio analyst. Given your background in Econ, a more technical master is needed.
